Creating Figurative Language

Figurative Language Mini Posters 

Instructions: 

• You will be assigned a figurative language device 
• You will create a mini-poster for your device 

• You will turn in your assignment to your class period drawer before you leave.

Mini Poster Requirements:  

• Write the name of your figurative language device at the top of your poster (make it large) 
• Write the definition for the device (can use your figurative language notes) 

• Create your own example of the device 
• Explain your example of the device in one to two sentences 
• Use color or small pictures to help your mini-poster look nice 
• Make sure your name is on the front or back of your mini-poster
