November 29: Character review and ACT III Macbeth

 

Learning goals:

  • 12.4.H synthesize information from a variety of text types to create new understanding
  • 12.4.I monitor comprehension and make adjustments such as re-reading, using background knowledge, asking questions, annotating, and using outside sources when understanding breaks down

Warm-up: 

Open and sign into One drive, Open Canvas and today's agenda page. Put away all distractions (ear buds, phones, etc.), take out your choice book and let's spend some time reading... 

Agenda: 

1. Be sure that you have reset your password:

STUDENT PASSWORD RESET FROM SCHOOL

  1. MOST IMPORTANT: If a student has a cell phone or personal laptop, they MUST forget the PearlandISD WIFI.  Failure to do this step FIRST will lock the student account due to conflicting passwords.  Students can rejoin the Wi-Fi after setting up their new password.
  2. On a Pearland ISD computer, students will enter their username, but will use the following password:  *pisd2223
  1. Students will then receive a popup message to reset their password.  Click OK.   
  2. Students will enter a new password in the NEW PASSWORD box using the following rules:  
  • Must not use special characters  
  • Must not use a password that was the same to a previous password   
  • Must not use any part of first name or last name   
  • Must have 8 – 16 characters   
  • Must have one upper case letter  
  • Must have one lower case letter  
  • Must have one number 
  1. Students will reenter their new password in the second box to confirm (use the “eyes” option to make sure it was entered correctly in both boxes before pressing ENTER.   
  • If the computer logs in, then students have successfully changed their password.    
  • If the computer does not log in, students must start over at step #2 above. 
  1. Students should save their new password in a secure location for future reference.  
  2. Students can now rejoin the Pearland ISD Wi-Fi using their new password.  
  1. Read for 15 minutes (Discussion of due date and project)
  2. Complete Review characters in Macbeth
  1. Notes and discussion over who was Shakespeare: Shakespeare and Macbeth background   (Witchcraft) 
  2. Continue Character map for "Macbeth"
  3. Reader's theatre and viewing of ACT III and IV of Macbeth  Roles
