All About Me

My name is Jeanette Hernandez and I work as a Title I Bilingual Reading Interventionist for Lawhon Elementary and Carleston Elementary.  This is my 27th year in education. 

A little bit about myself: I am married and have 3 grown daughters that have graduated college and are working in their own careers. Some of my favorite things are reading, baking, crafting, traveling, and most importantly spending time with family. 

A little bit about my job: Reading intervention entails  targeted instruction on reading to accelerate those who are reading below grade level. I work with specific children/groups who have been identified as needing more literacy support besides what is provided by the classroom teacher.
