Welcome to the 2024-2025 School Year!

I can't believe I am starting my 35th year in education! I like to say, "Time flies when you are having fun!" I want to encourage your child to relax and enjoy the activities we participate in during our time together. No stress in Art! Remember, we want to make progress/not perfection, and build our skills/confidence in our ability to create beautiful pieces of art.

A little bit about me...

This is my 20th year at Shadycrest. My children, age 30, 27, and 20 all attended Shadycrest!

I became a grandma, "Grammy", this summer~Baby Girl Rowan Jaymes.

I have a huge heart when it comes to animals and animal rescues in the area. I try to volunteer my time and energy helping wherever I can. I enjoy working outside in the yard and planting a variety of colorful flowers. I do the planting, but my husband keeps them alive!

My husband is an amazing cook and can make anything! That's good because I can't seem to make anything taste good. He has a passion for smoking all kinds of meat like brisket, pork, and sausage. Together, we enjoy participating in BBQ cook offs and serving others through our catering business- CRQ BBQ.

I'm looking forward to a great year!!!
