Today, we will review how to make inferences using text evidence as support using an animated film before working through the inferencing questions from "Five Rings Unbroken."

Watch the video as a whole class and stop to make inferences.

PRACTICE

Students will open the activity called Making Inferences in Five Rings Unbroken. Take a look at questions 12, 15, and 16 from Monday’s informational passage with students and then have them complete an exit ticket. (These questions align with inferencing to use as practice with students.)

RESPOND: Write an answer to the SCR question. Then, model revision by removing a word or sentence that doesn't fit. Have students complete this revision on their own responses.

CREATE: Students are writing an ECR to this Informational Text.
