About Mrs. Jenkins

My name is Mrs. Jenkins, and this is my 9th year teaching at Dawson High School. I teach Photojournalism, Yearbook, and Drill Team Training, and I also lead the UIL Journalism team and serve as the Dawson Diamonds Assistant Director. I have previously taught English IV and English I, as well as coached cheer at Dawson. I have a passion for extracurriculars and helping students find a place they belong on campus! My goal is to help students develop the skills necessary for life (communication, analyzing information, and problem-solving) while providing them with an environment where they feel safe.

Background:

I am originally from La Grange, TX, where I was active in many organizations on and off campus. I enjoy spending my free time catching the sunset on a walk with my family and our two pups. My husband and I married in 2019 and were college sweethearts at Texas State. Our son, Elijah, turned two recently, and we are currently expecting our second son in January 2026!😊
