About Me

Amy Petersen

Bio:

I grew up in Winter Springs and graduated from Oviedo, High School just outside of Orlando, Florida. Later, I graduated from the University of Florida with a  degree in Education. 

When I married my husband, Jeremy, we had no idea the adventures the Marine Corps would send us on. I was able to live and teach in North Carolina, Florida, California, and Japan. When he retired we chose to live in Pearland.

I have 3 sons that surprise and impress me daily. Gregory, age 22, is in his final semester at Texas State and plans to pursue a career as a history teacher.  Andrew is 20 and majoring in chemistry at the University of Texas. Matthew is beginning his junior year at Dawson.

This year, I am starting my 18th year of teaching, my 9th year of coaching cheer,  and my 2nd year at Dawson.
