Patricia De Leon

About Me:

Welcome!  My name is Patricia De Leon and I am excited to be a part of your child's education!  I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Houston - Clear Lake in Accounting, Business Administration and Marketing.  I obtained my alternative certification from Texas Teachers in 2014.  I completed my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University in 2020 and I am working towards obtaining my Principal certification.

I am the Career & Technical Education Business teacher here at PACE, Pearland ISD's Alternative Choice for Education campus, and I bring 15 years of banking and management experience to the classroom.  I am a Notary Public in the state of Texas and I have a General Lines Insurance license.  I am able to bring real life industry experience and teach the students not only business subject matter but also employability skills and core values on work ethic, professionalism, and leadership traits needed for their life after high school.  I am also the Career Preparation (formerly known as COOP program) teacher here on campus so I offer all students guidance on creating their resumes, cover letters, references, and individual assistance in finding local jobs and/or completing job applications. 

Becoming a teacher has been one of the greatest decisions I have made in my life and I truly enjoy working with each and every one of our students.  The smaller classroom size gives me the opportunity to really get to know the students well, their learning styles and I can work with them individually as needed.  I teach several different courses throughout the day and I'm available to assist them with extra tutoring at their request.

I am honored to have been selected as PACE's Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year and I was also awarded with a grant from Pearland ISD's Education Foundation that allowed my students to learn with additional resources.
