All About Me
Hi!
I am so excited to be a Shadycrest Owl this year!! I have been in Alvin ISD for 8 years teaching 4th grade math and science, prior to coming to Pearland. My husband and I have lived in Friendswood for 40 years. We have three children; one in Fort Worth who is an inhouse attorney for a construction firm, one who just graduated with her 2nd masters (leadership and education policy) from UVA after teaching middle school math in Fort Worth for 5 years, and our son and his new wife, live in NYC and both are HLS attorneys. My favorite thing to do to decompress is to ride my moped and eat Mexican food🤩 I have two cats, Mitchell and Leo.
Fun fact: I use to work at the Houston Zoo with the elephants. I love learning every day! Especially random science stuff. LOVE space news, sports, and windy days. Math was always a challenge for me growing up, so I love being able to help my students practice math, making mistakes and build their confidence. So blessed to be here this year to do this! 🥳💜💜
A few of my favorites are gummy bears and hot tamales, Sonic diet coke , Whataburger and Panera, and shopping at Marshall's, Target or Total Wine.
