Daily Library Procedures
Library Hours:
- The library is open from 8:00am - 8:25am before school each day for checkout. Students may also use this time to complete homework or just sit in the library and read.
- With their teachers permission, students may visit the library to check out a book. You MUST have a pass from your teacher. NO PASS, NO ENTRY.
- Students will also have time during Bobcat Hour to check out books.
Book Procedures:
- Access our card catalog, Destiny, at any time to to view book, place a hold, or renew books.
- There is a 3 book maximum checkout
- Checkout period is 3 weeks or 15 school days. You can bring your books into the library to renew or you can renew online.
- You can return book before they are due in the book drop outside of the library, during passing period, during Bobcat hour, or before/after school. There is no excuse for having a late book.
- YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE WITH YOUR ELAR CLASS TO RETURN YOUR BOOK.
- eBooks and Audiobooks are available 24 hours a day.
- Is there a book that you would like that you don't see in the library? Fill out the Book Request form so that the librarian can see to ordering the book. Links to an external site.
- Students are responsible for damaged or lost book and may be charged the full price to replace it.
- Fines for late books will be charged to your Skyward account once they reach $1.00. You can pay your fine in person with me or on Skyward. To avoid fines, please return your book on-time.
Computer Usage:
- Students may use the computer in the library if need be, but they also have their district issued devise. They are to be used for school related activities only.
- An Acceptable Use Policy, signed by a parent or legal guardian, must be on file at the school before a student can use the Internet.
- Students should not share his or her username and password with anyone.
- Students should be sure to log off whenever they are finished using a computer.
