All About Me

I am so excited to return to Challenger this year! I've been an educator for just over 20 years--a few of them right here in this very building. I received my bachelor’s degree from University of Houston and my master’s degree from University of Houston – Clear Lake. My mom is a teacher-turned-professor. Teaching is truly in my blood. From classroom teacher to technology specialist, I've worn many hats. One thing remains the same--I love seeing young minds excited about learning! 

My husband and I have been married for 25 years, and we have 2 children. Our son is in his second year at East Texas Baptist University as he pursues a degree in finance. Our daughter, Paige, stepped into Heaven in October 2016 at the age of 16 after an almost 3-year battle against an aggressive form of childhood leukemia. We are dedicated to sharing her story and helping other families going through childhood cancer as we carry on her legacy of wanting to help others.

My hobbies include reading and running. I love getting outside and taking in the beauty all around us.  

I am looking forward to a fantastic year in first grade!
