Teacher Biography / Biografía del profesor

Welcome to my class! 

My name is Roberto Unterberger, and I am proud to be a Sam Jamison Jaguar!  I am originally from Mexico, graduated from the University of Houston Downtown, and received Master’s Degrees from the University of St. Thomas.  I love to read books and spend time with my wife and my son.  I also like to play with our dog, Buster. 

This is my first-year teaching at Sam Jamison Middle School and my sixth year in education.  I am excited about this school year teaching 6th grade English and Spanish Language Arts and Social Studies.    

I look forward to working with all my students and their parents to succeed in the classroom and have an amazing school year!

 ¡Mi nombre es Roberto Unterberger y estoy orgulloso de ser un Jaguar de Sam Jamison!  Soy originario de México, me gradué de la Universidad de Houston Downtown y recibí maestrías de la Universidad de St. Thomas.  Me encanta leer libros y pasar tiempo con mi esposa y mi hijo.  También me gusta jugar con nuestro perro, Buster.  

 Este es mi primer año como profesor en la escuela secundaria Sam Jamison y mi sexto año en educación.  Estoy entusiasmado con este año escolar enseñando Artes del Lenguaje en Inglés y Español y Estudios Sociales de sexto grado.     

 ¡Espero trabajar con todos mis estudiantes y sus padres para tener éxito en el aula y tener un año escolar increíble!
