Hello! My name is Claudia Padilla and I am an English Language Arts and Reading teacher at Berry Miller Junior High School! This is my seventh-year teaching ELAR  and my first year at Berry Miller. I am excited to begin the new school year working at such an outstanding campus like Berry Miller with the most supportive administrators and staff.

I live in Houston with my amazing husband. We have four wonderful children: two daughters and two sons. I must not forget to mention my two lovable dogs Friday and Tsuki. When I am not in the classroom, I love indulging in my passion for baking. I find tremendous joy in creating delicious treats with my children. I also love reading true crime novels. I can easily get engrossed in a great story!

As your child's 7th grade ELAR teacher, I am committed to helping them reach their full potential and achieve their educational goals. I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and it is my job to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that caters to their individual needs. My goal is to get them excited about learning and to foster critical thinking skills, and promote a lifelong passion for reading and writing.

I am dedicated to creating a strong partnership with both students and parents. Together, we will support your child's academic journey and ensure their success. Let's Grow, Bobcats!!

Important Information About Campus Expectation: 

  • Cell phones are NOT allowed to be used on campus during school hours.
  • Earbuds must be wired (WIRELESS HEADPHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED)

Missing Assignments will be recorded as Zeros.

Any assignment not turned in by the due date/time is considered missing.

Students who do not turn in the assignment within three days of the due date will maintain the zero and can only submit the assignment or corrections for a grade no higher than a 70.

If you need to correct an assignment email me on Canvas when the assignment is complete. Please put the assignment name in the subject box. If you do not email, you will not receive a grade for the assignment. I will respond to the email once I update the grade in Skyward.
