PAP ALGEBRA 1 SYLLABUS

This is the syllabus that I will hand out on the first day of school.

A complete list of assignments and due dates is posted below.  Current assignments (along with their due date) will be listed at the top.  You can also see this information on our Canvas calendar.

IGNORE the groups and percentage weights to the right.  This is how I group things to make it easier on me to pull the grades for Skyward.

 

REFERENCE MATERIAL

The formula chart and graph paper (used on the STAAR Algebra 1 EOC) can be found on the Reference Materials module in Canvas.

 

TUTORING HOURS

TBD - More information will be provided once it becomes available.

⭐Tutoring allows you to work on corrections, catch up on missing work, and to ask clarifying questions about current assignments.  ASK QUESTIONS!  If you don't ask, I won't know, and then I can't help you.

DELTA MATH - We will go through this together during those first two days.

You will complete several assignments on this platform.  It is something I will embed in Canvas, so there is no need to set up an account.

 

DESMOS - We will go through this together during those first two days.

You need to sign up for a free Desmos account.  Make sure you sign up as a student, connect to my class by clicking on your class link below:

  • 2nd Period (PAP Algebra 1)
  • 4th Period (PAP Algebra 1
  • 6th Period (PAP Algebra 1)

 

TEXTBOOKS | RESOURCES

We don't have a consumable textbook like last year.  The textbook is accessible online at the same link we used last year for the Course 3 textbook.

SUPPLIES TO BRING EACH DAY

  • Laptop (district specifications can be found here.
  • Wired Earbuds
  • Stylus (recommended but not required)
  • ISN (Composition Notebook)
  • Folder with pockets
  • Pencil(s) (mechanical is preferred although not required)
  • Red or Other colored pen
