For this assignment, find/take a picture of something personal to you. I want to show these in class anonymously. This could be a favorite pet or a collection from your room. (You can use your school device to take a pic.) If you play an instrument, take a picture of this. Here is my instrument: This is my favorite pet, Bonnie.
No pics of people please, you or anyone else. Don't include your name on the picture. Maybe we can guess who it belongs to.
To complete this assignment, do the following two things:
- 1. Following appropriate email guidelines below, send Ms. Castro an appropriate email with a personal picture attached.
- 2. Submit your chosen picture to this assignment.
An appropriate email looks like the following:
1.) In the subject line, include your concern such as "incorrect grade entered in skyward" or "where is feedback for the short story assignment" or for this email, personal picture.
2.) Address the teacher as Ms. or Mr.
3.) Begin with, "This is (your full name) from your (class period) English class. I have 150 students, and some of you share the same first name. Some of you share the same last name. Knowing your class period helps save me time, and that always puts me in a good mood.
4.) Be specific and concise in your text. What is your concern? Get to the point and avoid a lengthy letter. I would rather hear your voice and see your face in person for a full conversation. (For this assignment, tell me something about the picture you have chosen.)
5.) Allow 24 hours for a response before you send another email, or come see me personally if you do not receive a response. (For this assignment, I may not respond to you because I anticipate so many emails. If I do, it is probably because your email was unacceptable.)
Check it off! YOU Must Do both for Full Credit!!!
- 1. Did you send me a proper email through Canvas?
- 2. Did you upload your picture to this assignment?
