Lines are shorter, pithy... not full-developed sentences, but the lines do communicate full ideas or images. The poem discusses at least two different colors which represent at least two different tones. The poem reveals different sides of the author.

Unity
The poem connects to present a unified theme about the complexity of who the student is as a person. Every word of the poem adds to this theme, and there are no unnecessary words such as prepositions (about, to, in, etc.) There is no extra fluff. The poem is concise.

Mechanics and creativity
The poem has been edited for spelling and mechanics which fit the communication of the whole. Though lines do not have to be complete sentences, they do communicate complete ideas/thoughts. Lines are poetic like. It does not read like a paragraph. There are creative choices made in illustrating the poem. Illustration reflects all colors and tones. It does not seem haphazard but indicates planning and effort.
