Welcome!

My name is Ms. Avent (pronounced Aye-vent). I am excited about creating new memories this school year in Language Arts 8. (ELAR 8) A little about me-I am a Texas A&M graduate with sixteen years of classroom teaching experience. This will be my tenth year with the Berry Miller family.

Tutoring

Tutoring is offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school in room 819. Wednesday afternoon tutoring is also available.

Supplies needed for class:

3-5 subject composition spiral (one with a plastic cover is recommended)

Loose leaf paper

Blue or black pens and pencils

Hand sharpener

Colored pencils

Highlighter

Laptop and charger

Tissues-one box or more

Hand sanitizer

Wired headphones (available in the Bobcat store)

Student I.D.

Make sure laptops are charged every night
