All about Mrs. Colvin

I have been teaching with Pearland ISD since 2006. Prior to switching careers to education, I was a social worker since 1992, providing case management services for a private, non-profit agency that worked with children in therapeutic foster care and residential treatment.

In 2006, I obtained my educator certification as a 4-8 generalist. I taught 7th grade regular and PreAP Math for two years at Jr. High East before transferring to Berry Miller in 2008 when the campus opened, making me one of the original Berry Miller staff! I continued to teach 7th grade math until 2015 when I obtained my Special Education Certification and moved to an 8th grade Inclusion Support specialist here at Miller.

In 2018, my job expanded to include the classroom teacher for 8th grade Resource Math and Power Math in addition to providing inclusion support to struggling learners in our regular 8th grade math classrooms.
