Teacher Bio
Welcome to Team Strength! I am Ms. Tijerina and I teach 5th Grade Reading and Language Arts. I am a graduate of the University of Houston where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders. Go Coogs! I have 19 years teaching experience in public schools. I have taught at both the elementary and middle school level, but I particularly enjoy teaching 5th Grade Reading. When I am not teaching, I am a mother to boy-girl twins who both attend Texas A&M University in College Station. My hobbies include cheering for the U of H Cougars, the Houston Astros, and the Fighting Texas Aggies! I also enjoy reading, walking, and the great company of friends and family. It is my hope that this school year will be full of successful experiences for your child.

- My conference time is M-F 12:25-1:10 PM.
Tutoring
- Morning Tutoring: Tuesday 8:00-8:25 AM (student pass is required and can be found in your child's red Reading folder)
- Afternoon Tutoring: Thursday 4:00-4:30 PM (24-hour advance written notification required)
