Coach Dines
Texas History
Teacher Bio
My name is Shane Dines. I am beginning my 24th year of teaching in Pearland ISD. I taught ten years at Junior High West, five years at Junior High South, and eight years at Junior High East. I have taught U.S. History, physical education, and Texas History. This is my twelfth year teaching Texas History. I am a proud member of the fighting Texas Aggie class of 1998. While I was at Texas A&M I majored in U.S. History, and minored in English literature. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Melissa Dines, for twenty years. She is also a teacher in Pearland, and she has taught elementary students for twenty three years at Lawhon Elementary. We have two wonderful children named Henry and Emma. Henry is a junior at Pearland High School, and he is the starting quick tackle for the Pearland Oiler's varsity football team. Emma is a sophomore at Pearland High School, and she is JV volleyball player and she ran varsity hurdles as a freshman. I love U.S. History and Texas History, I love weightlifting, and I collect vintage toys from the 1980s.
Degrees and Certifications
I earned a BA degree in U.S. History from Texas A&M University
