7th and 8th Grade Math

About Me

Welcome to Pearland Junior High East!  I'm excited to be your child's math teacher.  I love math and I love helping students discover their math abilities.

I have 2 daughters who both attended PJHE.  One is a junior at PHS and is a member of the Pride of Pearland Marching Band.  The other is starting her freshman year at University of Houston and graduated from Turner High School.

We love to travel, play board games, and all things Disney.

Math/Science Club

The Math and Science Club has 4 different focus areas: Number Sense, General Math, General Science, and Calculator Applications.  It’s a great opportunity for students to build their math and science skills and prepare for high school classes as well!

There will be several Saturday competitions this year with dates to come. I will notify you when we get confirmed dates. These competitions are not mandatory and students may participate in as many or as few competitions as they wish. Students in 6th-8th grades have an opportunity to qualify for a State competition occurring in April.

Many of our 7th grade Roughnecks qualified for State competition as 6th graders at Alexander, so I would like to continue this tradition of excellence here at East! Last year I had 1 student qualify for State.  I'd like to see if we can increase that this year!  We compete as a team with Alexander as the competition is for grades 6-8.

Practices will be scheduled after I meet with team members

*Due to athletics schedules, I am running before school and after school practice.  Students do not have to attend both but are free to if they want to.
