Hello! I am Amber McCoy, and this is my 25th year in education.  It is my 9th year at Dawson teaching AP Precal  and Advanced SAT Prep.  I spent my previous years in Pasadena ISD as a math teacher and a sign language interpreter. Yes, I know sign language but I am not as good as I used to be. 

As much as I love math, I love reading books even more!  I am a HUGE book nerd.  In my next life I need to be a librarian.  If you have a good book recommendation, please share it with me!!  I love to read what my students recommend. 

I also am part of the Explores Club with the school and have had the privilege of traveling overseas with many of our Dawson students.  This helps feed anther passion of mine, traveling.  I have been to 13 countries with plans to travel to four more the summer of 2025.  Two with the school and two with my husband.  I mix my two passions by reading books about the places I will travel to next!
