Instructor Bio

I have been a JROTC Instructor since my retirement from the US Army in 2020. I created the program at Angleton and this is now my second year here at Pearland. I appreciate the opportunity to work with young people as they ready themselves for the real world. Our commitment is to build and develop those skills which they can use throughout their lives. Our JROTC mission is to "motivate young people to be better citizens." We want to encourage each cadet to be a leader; accepting responsibility, showing initiative, displaying integrity, using honesty, being loyal to our great country and being disciplined in all aspects of their lives.

I am a graduate of the Engineer Officer Basic Course, Intermediate Leadership Course, Master Fitness Course, Officer Recruiting Course, and Domestic Operations Course. I hold an MBA with a focus on Homeland Security Resource Allocation and a Texas Teachers Certification and a Bachelors degree in advertising.

My military awards include the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2), Army Commendation Medal (3), Army Achievement Medal (6).

I am married to my beautiful wife Riki and we have lived in Sugar Land for almost 10 years. We have our 28 year old daughter (Ebby), 23 year old daughter (Olivia), 11 year old son (Ben) and 8 year old daughter (Juliana).
