Teacher Bio
Hello! My name is Madelyn Rosenberg and I teach Academic Biology and PAP Biology at Pearland High School. I am a proud Pearland alumus and am absolutely thrilled to be an Oiler. I am blessed to have the opportunity to contribute to a community and school that filled me with Pride, Honor, and Success.
I am also a proud graduate of The University of Alabama! Roll Tide Roll!! At Alabama, I received my BS in Biology with a minor in Political Science. Within my Biology degree, I specialized in plant biology and fell in love with mycology (the study of fungus). Through my studies, I came to admire the versatility and resilience that fungi display. Fun Fact: Research is being done to see if fungus could survive the solar radiation in space and potentially help us colonize other planets. Spoiler Alert: Certain fungi can survive TWELVE TIMES the amount of solar radiation of space. Fungus is allowing us to literally reach for the moon!
I am excited for this year at PHS. One Team, One Family! Go Oilers!
