Welcome to Sablatura Middle School!!! My name is Carolina Medina-Ross Salazar, students please call me Ms. Medina or Señora Medina. I graduated from UT Austin with my degree in Education. This will be my 6th year teaching and 4th year at Sab!!! My husband attended Sablatura and then Pearland High School, we live locally with our one cat Estrella. I will do my best to instill confidence to speak Spanish with all students, I will also meet them where they are. Even though this is our Dual Language program the students come to me with many different levels of comfort, confidence, and Spanish knowledge. I am here to support all learners!! For example, students who are fluent and know lots of Spanish I will support them to grow and speak and write longer essays and presentations. Students who know a little Spanish, I will meet them there, and encourage more speaking confidence and scaffold them up!!
