My name is Maria Alejandra Duron, and I have been a resident for about twenty years, and I am so proud and honored to be a teacher in Pearland! Currently, I have two awesome kids at Pearland High School who will be graduating this year! My husband is also a third-grade schoolteacher for Pasadena ISD.

Although, I am a native Houstonian, I grew up in Monterrey N.L. Mexico. I returned to the Houston area to complete my studies and presently hold a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas, a Master of Education in School Counseling and a Certification in Counseling and Development from Lamar University.

I began my teaching career at Galena Park ISD as a business teacher and then continued teaching business classes at Alvin ISD. After seventeen years, I decided to join Houston ISD as a Spanish teacher and five years later I joined Pearland ISD to become a part of the Diamondback family.

I am so excited and blessed to be teaching at Pearland Junior High School South and, as I begin this journey my main objective is to teach, guide, support and advocate for all my students at this campus.
