Teacher Bio

Hi everyone! This is my 10th year teaching and I'm so happy to be doing so here in Pearland isd and as a member of Alexander Middle School. I'm teaching 5th grade ELA and I have a background teaching 5th and 8th grade science as well. I have 3 wonderful small kids 6, 5 and 1 two of which are also a part of the Pearland school district.  I've been living in Houston for the last 11 years, but I'm from South Louisiana. I went to the University of Louisiana at Monroe to study Atmospheric Science because I love the weather and learning about storms and hurricanes which is pretty typical for growing up in the South. I also love travelling, watching basketball (Go Lakers!), spending time with my family and of course reading as a hobby.

Some of my other favs are Swedish Fish candy and Amazon:)
